What started as research for a movie resulted in these recordings. This is the life story of Bob Cooley, a man who accomplished the impossible by decapitating Al Capone's syndicate. 

In the 1970’s Bob Cooley was a young cop who decided to became a lawyer, and ultimately found himself being an insider for the Chicago syndicate. The mob controlled the city of Chicago and the state of Illinois. 

This multipart conversation details the inner workings of the notorious Chicago crime syndicate called the Outfit. From politicians on the take to a corrupt court system and cold case murders, we cover it all. There are also never before revealed details about cult icon Count Dante and mob fixture Pat Marcy. just came across this podcast and have listened to it twice in the last 30 days. Have followed the Cooley story since it broke way back. Read the book several times , and also purchased the Audible book too and have listened to it multiple times. Also have listened to the LVRJ podcast several times as well. Will you be doing any other outfit figures anytime soon? Thanks for the wonderful podcast. That guy is one of a kind. And that’s not a compliment or a criticism. Just interesting as hell to me for a guy whose grandparents and parents lived in the area before moving to South Bend in the 60’s and knew of the cast of characters that eventually became the ones he took down
